City breaks continue to be very popular. Especially trips to the Hanseatic city of Hamburg during the summer months. We’d also recommend a trip to the Hagenbeck zoo as well as the “Miniaturwunderland” or the area surrounding the city to get away from it all – for example to the beach at Timmendorfer Strand. If you’d rather stay within the city and don’t have a lot of time, then we’d recommend a sight-seeing tour with our partner company “Die Roten Doppeldecker” (the red double-deckers). On Sundays and public holidays you can pick up the tour immediately outside the hotel. It covers all the main places of interest – and if the weather is fine the bus is open-topped too – and while you watch the city go by you’ll learn lots about Hamburg’s history.
